Floyd Schofield Sr. is done being polite about it.
A day after his son, Floyd “Kid Austin” Schofield, took the WBA lightweight title from Lucas Bahdi, Sr. went off on Fight Hub TV — and Rnd5Media says the man is speaking the truth.
Schofield Sr. says Abdullah Mason turned down a $1 million fight with his son. He says Shakur Stevenson will never actually fight him. And he put it as plain as it gets: “we don’t f*** with them.”
The pattern backs him up. Everybody wants the Schofield name in their mouth, but when the contract shows up, the excuses start. Mason walked away from a career-high payday. Shakur’s camp has never been serious about making the fight. Call it politics, call it business — Sr. calls it soft, and he’s got receipts.
Meanwhile, Kid Austin is a world champion with the whole lightweight division on notice. The fighters who talked the loudest are the same ones who never signed.
