Bill Haney Faces Shakur Over the Sparring Posts — “Devin, the Dream You’re Too Scared to Step Up and Fight”

Start with what this AKHi TV video actually is, because the title oversells it: most of the eight minutes is sparring and training audio with no narration at all. The real content is one split-screen conversation, about ninety seconds long, between Bill Haney and Shakur Stevenson — and in that conversation, Bill does almost all of the talking.

The argument is over sparring posts. Shakur had accused Bill of putting up trash sparring. Bill’s answer: what he posted was his own sparring partner — a tough 154-pound Nigerian he calls Double O, who is 17-0 with 11 knockouts — brought in so Devin Haney could get good work. When the other footage came up, Shakur’s one interjection was that the man in it was an amateur. Bill named him too: Jordan Salam, whose last amateur fight was in October 2025, a month before Devin fought for the welterweight title at 147.

Then Bill stopped talking about sparring and said the line the whole clip exists for. Devin Haney, he told Shakur, is “the Dream you’re too scared to step up and fight.” He even threw in a joke price tag — sit your five dollars down before he makes change — which tells you the tone: this was not a negotiation, it was a father talking down to a rival in public.

Shakur barely got a word in, and that is the honest summary of this video. No posts, no long response, no fight talk with dates or money — just Bill Haney controlling a ninety-second exchange and using it to plant the same flag he always plants: his son is the fight, and Shakur is avoiding it. Devin’s actual schedule backs the confidence — he has Liam Paro in December, with his trainer already predicting a corner towel. Shakur can end this whole line of talk with one signature. Until then, Bill gets the last word because he’s the one showing up to say it to his face.
