Nine days out, the talking is almost done. Now it’s about the work.
Top Rank’s new inside-the-camps feature takes viewers into the preparations of WBO and IBF champion Emanuel Navarrete and WBC champion O’Shaquie Foster, two champions in their primes who meet on Saturday, October 24 at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio to settle who runs the super-featherweight division. Three belts, one ring, no place to hide.

This is the kind of fight boxing needs more of. Navarrete, the Mexican warrior with the awkward angles and the engine that never quits, already holds two belts and has built his name on walking through fire. Foster, the slick technician they call “Ice Water,” holds the third and has spent the year calling for exactly this kind of smoke. Neither man took the easy route to this moment. Both are risking their belts in their primes, and the winner walks out one step from undisputed at 130.
The camps matter because the styles demand it. Navarrete’s pressure only works if the conditioning is championship-level for twelve hard rounds. Foster’s defense and counter-punching only work if the preparation is sharp enough to time a champion who throws from angles nobody else uses. What the footage shows is two camps treating this like what it is — the biggest fight of the year in the division.
The card around them isn’t filler either. Albert “Chop Chop” Gonzalez faces former two-time title challenger Edward Vazquez in the featherweight co-feature, and super-lightweight contender Frank Martin makes his Top Rank debut on the show. The whole night streams live on DAZN starting at 8 p.m. ET.
We’ve said it on this site all month: Foster stands on business. He asked for the biggest fight at 130 and he got it, while other names in and around this division are still negotiating with themselves. But respect to Navarrete too — champions who unify are the ones history remembers.
October 24 in San Antonio. Three belts on the line. Camp footage says both men know exactly what’s at stake.
