Katie Taylor (born 2 July 1986 in Bray, County Wicklow) is an Irish former professional boxer and footballer. Per Wikipedia, she is a former three-time undisputed champion — the undisputed and undefeated lineal world lightweight champion from 2019 to 2024, before moving up and becoming the undisputed and lineal world super lightweight champion on two separate occasions between 2023 and 2026. She is credited with raising the profile of women's boxing in Ireland and around the world and is considered by many to be one of the greatest female boxers of all time.
Taylor turned professional in November 2016 under promoter Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing, won her debut by third-round TKO over Karina Kopińska, and won her first world title — the WBA lightweight title — from Anahí Ester Sánchez in October 2017, only 11 months after her pro debut. She beat Delfine Persoon in June 2019 to become undisputed lightweight champion, beat Chantelle Cameron in November 2023 to become undisputed at super lightweight, won her trilogy with Amanda Serrano 3–0, and on September 5, 2026, at age 40, beat Flora Pili at Croke Park to become undisputed champion for a third time before retiring.
