Tyson Luke Fury — “The Gypsy King” — is a British professional heavyweight boxer who turned professional on December 6, 2008, stopping Béla Gyöngyösi in the first round in Nottingham. Named after Mike Tyson, the reigning undisputed champion when he was born, Fury built his career the hard way: English, Irish, British, Commonwealth and European titles on the way up, then world titles at the top of the division.
The night that defined him came on November 28, 2015, in Düsseldorf, where Fury outpointed Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring heavyweight titles. He held unified titles from 2015 to 2016 and The Ring title twice between 2015 and 2022. After a long layoff, he came back to draw with WBC champion Deontay Wilder in 2018, then took Wilder’s WBC title in their 2020 rematch and kept it through 2024 — winning the trilogy fight in 2021 and defending against Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora in 2022.
Fury’s only professional defeats came against Oleksandr Usyk in 2024: a split-decision loss in their undisputed title fight on May 18 — the first loss of his career, costing him the WBC title — and a unanimous-decision loss in the December 21 rematch. He announced his fifth retirement in January 2025, returned in 2026, and beat Arslanbek Makhmudov on points and Mariusz Wach by corner retirement to take his record to 36-2-1. Below is the complete record, fight by fight.
