Artur Asilbekovich Beterbiev, born January 21, 1985, in Khasavyurt, Dagestan, is a Russian and Canadian professional boxer based in Montreal. Per Wikipedia, he held the undisputed light-heavyweight championship between 2024 and 2025, along with the IBO and Ring magazine titles during that reign.
Beterbiev is the first boxer to become undisputed light-heavyweight champion since Roy Jones Jr. in 2002, and the first to do it in the four-belt era. He is known for exceptional punching power: he won his first 20 professional fights by knockout or stoppage after debuting in 2013. His perfect KO run ended when he beat Dmitry Bivol by majority decision to become undisputed champion in October 2024 — then lost the rematch, also by majority decision, in February 2025.
