Dmitry Yuryevich Bivol, born December 18, 1990, in Tokmok, is a Kyrgyzstani-Russian professional boxer. Per Wikipedia, he won the undisputed light-heavyweight title in February 2025 and has held the unified championship since April 2025, as well as the IBO and Ring magazine titles since February 2025. He previously held the WBA (Super) light-heavyweight title from 2019 to 2024.
Bivol was named Fighter of the Year for 2022 by multiple sources, including The Ring and the BWAA. He is the only boxer to defeat two reigning undisputed world champions in the four-belt era — Canelo Álvarez (for the WBA light-heavyweight title) and Artur Beterbiev (for the undisputed light-heavyweight championship) — and the first fighter to go the distance with Beterbiev, doing it twice in a row: a majority-decision loss, then a majority-decision win.
