“10% or Nothing”: Gervonta Davis Lowballs Shakur Stevenson to Hijack the Haney Fight

Gervonta Davis wants you to believe he wants the Shakur Stevenson fight. The number he sent says otherwise.

AKHi TV reports Tank slid Shakur a 10% purse offer — “10% or nothing” — to hijack the Devin Haney fight. Let that sink in: 10 percent. That’s the lowest split Tank Davis has ever offered any opponent. Frank Martin got more. This isn’t a negotiation. It’s a stunt.

The segment frames it plainly: ducking disguised as clout. Tank gets to say he “sent an offer” while knowing no self-respecting champion takes ten cents on the dollar. It’s the oldest trick in the book — make the offer unserious so the rejection does your dirty work, then tell the timeline the other guy ran.

Here’s what actually needs to happen: Haney and Shakur need to fight each other first. That’s the fight that decides the lightweight pecking order. The winner becomes the man, and then Tank has no choice but to deal with him on real terms. Everything else is noise — including, per the report, Tank needling both fighters from burner accounts while feuding with Dana White and Turki Alalshikh on the side.

And when Bill Haney countered with a real proposal — a $15 million guarantee plus 50/50 on pay-per-view, up to $40 million — Tank said no. So much for wanting all the smoke.

Tim Bradley already unloaded on this whole circus, and he was right: cut the B.S. Make Haney vs. Shakur. Then the winner gets Tank — at a real split, not ten percent.
